About me

I’m Nikki. I love nature, beauty, and thoughtful design. I’m an adventurous artist at heart, with an engineer’s mind for problem-solving. Over time, I’ve learned how to balance creativity and logic—and I’ve found my sweet spot bridging the gap between dreamy visionaries and practical taskmasters.

The dreamy visionary has no trouble cooking up creative ideas, making big plans, and getting their community excited. They can get the ball rolling, but as unforeseen obstacles arise, focus and effort wanes, and these great ideas remain just that…ideas…or messy piles of expensive materials.

The practical taskmaster excels where the dreamer doesn’t, in careful planning and realistic expectations. They execute what they set their mind to. However, this is often because their idea is conventional and the road map to success is heavily tread. Nothing wrong with this approach- unless you want to defy the mainstream and live in rewarding, regenerative, and revolutionary ways.

Whether you’re dreamy, practical, or somewhere in between, I’ll help your project find its balance.

After living and working on many different homesteads and farms, I observed a pattern that inspired Divine Design Solutions. The pattern consists of landowners who made rushed or uninformed decisions to start a project on their slice of heaven. Over time, gaps in their grand plans compounded, transforming feasible projects into overwhelming burdens. It pains me to observe this scenario time and time again- I believe that it doesn’t have to be this way. All projects can be started or rehabilitated for success with the help of fresh eyes, realistic goal setting, meticulous planning, and follow through.

My experience is both thorough and varied. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Northeastern University, with internships in environmental remediation and water quality research. I later worked in Civil Engineering as a land development consultant, drafting digital designs and calculating stormwater management plans. Most recently, I earned my Permaculture Design Certification from Oregon State University and currently contract as a Technical Service Provider (TSP) with the National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), supporting landowners with conservation planning and grant funding. Through the years, I’ve worked on properties focusing on organic food production, animal husbandry, natural building, soil regeneration, and water management. Together, these experiences allow me to approach projects with environmental awareness, technical rigor, and real-world practicality across disciplines.

Whether you’d like to pick my brain or receive a full design plan, I’m excited to work with you and learn about your dreamy and practical projects!
